The Rhode Island Latino Expo

The Latino Expo Goes to Rhode Island - Latino Expo, a venue that connects emerging middle class Latino families with business, jobs, education and health care, is coming to the Rhode Island Convention Center, Providence, on September 23 and 24. At the recent 6th annual Latino Expo in Hartford 12,000 people attended in only ten hours. Nowhere can business, healthcare providers, and educational organizations reach a larger market share of the Latino community than through Latino Expo.

There have been 12 Latino Expos since 2000, six of them in Hartford, and Latino Expo President Debra Gould says they have wonderful success stories and a tremendous legacy so far. “Bringing the Hispanic community together with all the positive resources we organize helps to make these communities stronger and healthier,” Gould said. In 2001, the Small Business Administration District office in Connecticut named the Latino Expo the “Minority Small Business Advocates of the Year.”

Sponsors for the September event include: Title Sponsors – Shaws Supermarkets (for their fourth title sponsorship), Citizens Bank, Providence Journal, Telemundo, Providence en Espanol. Latino Expo in Providence will provide resources to the Latino community that they may not even realize they have been missing. The positive exposure for businesses, health resources, government agencies and educational organizations is critical.
