Latino population of any other state in 2004, and now has the 11th largest U.S. Hispanic population, according to Latinos in Georgia: A Closer Look. Three-fifths (61.9%) of Latinos in Georgia are 29 years old or younger, and one in 14 (7.8%) students enrolled in Georgiaýs public schools in 2005 is Hispanic, the study finds.
