The National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP) estimates that 1.5 million undocumented immigrants in the United States could become homeowners if barriers such as identification, legalization, traditional credit requirements and language were no longer issues.
Young – Fifty percent of Latinos are under age 25 and 70 percent are under age 36. In fact, the number of traditional entry-level buyers (33-year-olds) of Hispanic heritage is projected to rise by 12 percent over the next six years, compared to a 10 percent decline among other U.S. residents.
