1.Hispanics are connecting twice as fast as the general market (14% growth vs. 7%) adding over a million users per year. In 2008, 23 million Hispanics online, about 52% of the Hispanic population. In 2012, more than 29 million will be online, increasing Internet penetration to 58.6%.

Living a connected, collective and spontaneous life is a fundamental Hispanic value and desire. Technology that facilitates connecting, sharing, entertaining and learning is rapidly becoming indispensable for the majority of Hispanics. We are referring to those that are connecting on their computers; recent figures put 57% of Hispanics going online through their mobile phones.
 
Supermarket Store Brands
Supermarket Store BrandsNew consumer polling data shows that an overwhelming majority of U.S. supermarket shoppers will continue purchasing store brand products after the recession is over.

A poll conducted this month by GfK Custom Research North America for the Private Label Manufacturers Association reports that 91% of shoppers say they will keep buying store brand products after the recession ends. Conversely, only 8% of the consumer polled said they will stop buying these products.
 
23 Million Hispanics Online 2009
Hispanics OnlineeMarketer estimates that this year there will be nearly 23 million Hispanics online, over 50% of the US Hispanic population. Hispanics make up 12.3% of the total US Internet population in 2009, and that number will increase to 13.9% in 2013.

“The US Hispanic population has been touted for years as the fastest-growing minority in America,” says Lisa E. Phillips, eMarketer senior analyst and author of the new report, Hispanics Online: Young, Mobile and Bilingual. “However, the recession has affected the pace of immigration, and growth in the Hispanic population has slowed.”
