The ecologically-aware Cacique resort is typical of new initiatives. Rock walls will become walls of structures and the shade of the vegetation will replace man-made awnings.
Revolution Places, developers of the resort, say their plans are representative of the new wave of high-end vacations, which used to be associated with upscale hotels, grand lounge areas and fine dining.
High end tourists prefer swimming with dolphins and want to eat authentic food and they are eco-aware.
Tourism promoters point out Costa Rica has developed a lot of diversity in its tourism that is only enhanced by the new wave of more luxurious accommodations. Costa Rica is full of luxury hotel incentives, quality and economical alternatives for every interest preference
