On Macao Beach, Palace Resorts (800-635-1836, www.palaceresorts.com) will open the five-star, all-inclusive Moon Palace Casino, Golf & Spa Resort in early 2009. When completed, the resort will be the largest hotel in Punta Cana, with 1,791 rooms.
 The property will also feature 13 large pools with scenic views and swim-up bars, a river that meanders throughout the resort, 11 restaurants, seven bars and a nightclub, a theater, spa and Dolphinarium with performances.
It will also feature a 45,000-square-foot, Las Vegas-style casino; 18-hole championship course designed by Jack Nicklaus; and a convention center with more than 60,000 square feet of flexible, unobstructed meeting space.
The Dominican Republiceams Punta Cana Resort & Spa (www.Dominican Republiceamsresorts.com) made its debut last December following a multimillion dollar renovation to the former Sunscape The Beach.
