The Bays of Huatulco Mexico
Huatulco is not actually a city, town nor a village... Huatulco Mexico is actually a destination along the Pacific Ocean. In Mexico, Huatulco is known as "Bahias de Huatulco" "The Bays of Huatulco", are actually a string of non-developed ecological areas and beaches within nine bays in a 35mile stretch in Mexico's Southern Pacific end.

The Bays of Huatulco Mexico"The Bays of Huatulco" are comprised of 36 consecutive small beaches... The Huatulco beaches are aligned along the nine bays of Huatulco. Instead of one...long...beach..  When looking at a map, all you see are "looping loops" with perhaps just few develpment. Some beaches do house the small "Huatulco Beach Resorts". Local regulations prohibit developments to build anything above five stories high. The Huatulco beach resorts are not allowed to build on their rooftops.

Recycling, water purification and aggressive sewage treatment also have contributed to Huatulco's certification in 2006 as a Green Globe Community. In fact, it became the organization's first recognized tourist destination in the Americas.

Fonatour, the Mexican government development and tourism promotion agency, also designed Huatulco as the greenest of the country's five new resort areas and also transferred 30,000 acres to another agency for preservation as a national park.

There is not yet any infrastructure, but the dense jungle, coral reefs, bays and beaches within Huatulco's park boundaries are protected. Biologists and wildlife experts have documented over 412 plant species, 130 species and subspecies of mammals, 291 species or birds, 72 species of reptiles and 15 amphibian species, as well as fish and shellfish that live in the sea.

Huatulco is a Pacific coast paradise with "Rico Blue Waters" with several types of sand. Huatulco bays and beaches are unique and a must see. Santa Cruz Bay is one of the most important ecological reserves in Mexico due to its coral reefs. Thanks to its abundant marine life, not only is an excellent spot for scuba diving and snorkeling.
