Web hosting cost should not exceed $5 per month. I utilize "Helping Host" for my web site hosting needs. Their $4.99 "Plan-B" hosting package has sufficient disk space, transfer and features to add interactive content like CGI or PHP scripts. The plan is for up to 5 web sites. Each account offers 25 e-mail addresses (5 per web site) and is suitable for any new company.

Web Hosting

Helping host has over 30 preinstalled application packages. One in particular is named "Mambo", but as of September of 2005 has been re-named Joomla.  Mambo Open Source is the finest open source Web Content Management System (CMS) available today. Mambo Open Source makes communicating via the Web easy and you can easily install it by a click of a button. This Open Source program is free to use. The latest version is the 4.5.2.3.

Web Design

As far as web design, simple. Since you are just starting, I recommend that you join a club named Jambo Works. Jambo Works provides templates that can easily be installed into your Mambo/Joomla software. Yearly fee is $50 (one time) and you can select your design of choice.
