The Central Islip Library and “El Quijote del GED” are providing the entire community of Central Islip and neighboring towns with information that will mobilize adults to take the GED, making families and community much stronger. Profesor Martin N. Danenberg “El Quijote del GED” has done GED Roundtables in the Congress of the United States, the AFL-CIO Building in Washington, D.C., the New York State Legislatures, Stony Brook Manhattan (SUNY), the Consulate of El Salvador in Brentwood, and in the office of ASPIRA of New York.
THE GRADUATION RATE FROM HIGH SCHOOL IS DECLINING ON LONG ISLAND AND NEW YORK STATE IS BELOW THE NATIONAL AVERAGE IN GED.
Your community organization is invited. So come or delegate someone to come. Community residents are also urged to attend. Please contact Martin at 631-348-1341 to confirm. Pass this information on to community based organizations that can mobilize the community.
