CAN YOU IMAGINE BARACK OBAMA SHAKING HANDS WITH ADOLF HITLER?
By Profesor Martin Danenberg “El Quijote del GED”
Can you imagine a person who has not earned a GED, a high school diploma, or any degree running for President of the United States, winning the election, and running the country effectively? Is it possible? I believe so. I have been thinking that we have never really had the best in office in the past. Just ask the losers and you will see that they agree with me. I sit home saying to myself that there must be 50,000 Americans across the United States who can do a better job than John Mc Clain, Barack Obama, and Hillary Clinton (and Condoleeza Rice). Most of those 50,000 may not have had the leadership experience, but they may be just as qualified as people in key positions. A haberdasher became President of the United States and he integrated the Armed Forces and made the decision that dropped the A-Bomb on Japan to quickly close World War II. I am sure you will not see haberdashery as a course at Harvard, Yale, or any other institution of higher learning.
I was looking at a picture of Neville Chamberlain greeting Adolf Hitler in a book about the history of the Holocaust and it looked like a picture of President Leonel Fernandez of the Dominican Republic greeting me in the Waldorf Astoria a few years ago. Barack Obama says he wants to have talks with dictators. It sounds like a good idea, but that picture tells me to stop and think more deeply about it. That picture tells me that a Latino or African-American (or anyone else) without a GED who is flipping burgers may have a better answer than the man who speaks to us in debates, presidential rallies, or on the Oprah Show.
I think of other people providing leadership in their communities who refuse to help the person who has just dropped of high school to obtain his GED. I think of people who are helping immigrants (undocumented and documented) who are doing nothing to educate these people and who continue to wander in the desert for forty years. I think of pastors and other community leaders who speak out in favor of Palestinians (even Hispanic leaders) rights who do not know the beginning of the story, that Arabs were terrorizing the Jews and that about sixty Talmudic students were killed in a raid in 1929. I believe that most Arabs do not know that this despicable act preceded the despicable act of killing about one hundred and ten Arabs in Deir Yassim in 1948. I doubt if John Mc Clain, Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and Reverend Wright know. I would not say that about Condoleeza Rice, because she should have read this somewhere. But has she shared this important historical detail with people?
We sit around watching the destruction of Israelis and Palestinians, but we could have built much stronger bridges to peace by educating people and I am sure that there are large numbers of Palestinians who could use a GED to change their lives. I abhor acts of terrorism (and criminal acts against society), but I have long believed that the survival of the world depends on ideas that may not be in the forefront. The person that has the answer that will eliminate terrorism in the world will be our greatest hero. I doubt if that person is running for President of the United States.
I JUST FOUND NEW EVIDENCE ABOUT DEIR YASSIN ON YOU TUBE THAT SUPPORTS THE VIEW THAT THE HYSTERIA CREATED BY THE MURDERS AT DEIR YASSIN WAS ARAB INDUCED. THIS HYSTERIA LED TO THE FLIGHT OF HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF PALESTIANS.
