HIGHER EDUCATION DROP MAKES US 12 IN THE WORLD

By Profesor Martin Danenberg "El Quijote del GED"

Canada, a country where people hardly earn a GED, has the world lead in the percentage of adults 25-34 who hold a post-secondary degree. The percentages are 55.8 to 40.4. The College Board has not been helpful in getting young adults to earn a GED and the White House has failed the American people. The Obama White House? I am referring to previous White Houses. Adding older adults to the figures makes the U.S. higher, ranking it 6th in the world. The District of Columbia ranks highest among states and territories in the United States with 62.2. The District of Columbia ranks at the bottom of the GED list with Delaware, Puerto Rico, and California. It seems to me that the D.C. figures tell a picture that many people who did not go to school in D.C. and who now live there have earned degrees. This probably means that our capital requires a more educated population than other cities and even states.
