SENATOR SKELOS MAYOR BLOOMBERG BOTH IN TROUBLE
By Profesor Martin Danenberg "El Quijote del GED"
Is there a rubber room for a mayor and what do we do with a senator who thinks there is a rubber room? Maybe we can create one for them.
A teacher called into WWRL a few days ago to say that he teaches in Texas where he has taught for 17 years and he expects to get laid off.
A teacher gave the New York Post information this week that the 93 percent rating that he has had for three years dropped significantly and suddenly. Could it be the recession economy and the desire to get rid of his high salary?
First Senator Dean Skelos is quoted in the New York Post saying "If a person is found in the rubber room...." And I just got done telling my readers this morning that the rubber room has ended. Has it ended or am I dreaming? I also told my readers that we do not have faith in elected officials and in government. I wonder why? Senator Skelos ought to know that the a large portion of the people who voted for him who are teachers or who were teachers benefitted from the hiring system. The system helped his community as well as others. They bought homes and raised children where he lives.
Mayor Bloomberg has told a joke, it was reported, that upset some Irish people. Okay others laughed. I can assure Mayor Bloomberg that telling an ethnic joke has been part of a case against a teacher who was in the rubber room. Is there a rubber room for the mayor? I guess it is good to be the king.
