“El Quijote del GED”

PAY PAL NOTICE
Something new in 2010. You can now order the GED program. It is so simple! Click on the word clic above my article (in the white section on the right). By clicking you can go to my website and find "Services" to order the GED program in English or Spanish. See the Pay Pal there. Thank you for taking this important, powerful step in your life. I really hope that a job or higher education awaits you, even induction into the military. Your future is important!

People in El Salvador, the Dominican Republic, and Puerto Rico have been reading my work for many years and I am known (well known in those governments). My friends in El Salvador lost the recent presidential election, but even among the people there I am sometimes called “El Quijote del GED de El Salvador” and I have friends among members of the FMLN. My contact with Honduras, though little known to people, has existed about seven years. I was in the Embassy of Honduras about seven years ago with staff working with the community. I have been in touch with that embassy since then about the GED. There is now word from a new friend that a Congressman and a pastor are very interested in bringing the GED to Honduras. I cannot say that my contact with Mexico has produced any interest, but my relationship with former Consul General Salvador Bertrand del Rio Madrid was very strong. I was joking to friends about bringing the GED Flu to Mexico after they mentioned the Swine Flu to me. The GED is offered in English only in the countries mentioned, helping very few people.

I am now hoping that I can bring the Spanish GED to Quintana Roo, a state of Mexico. This is an outstanding place to bring the GED to because of its huge tourism industry. Anyplace is a great place to bring the GED to, but people usually have to pay to take the GED and the cost of taking the test is too high for the extremely poor and most poor people. I would like to tell my friends in Latin America and the Caribbean about the Peconic Community Council and its GED book initiative. People in the community are paying $25 to buy a book for someone who cannot afford it on Long Island (United States). Yes people cannot afford even $25 for education in the United States. The wealthy in Mexico (Carlos Slim) can help people learn to fish instead of giving people fish to eat by adopting the GED and helping millions of poor reach higher in life through education. The GED will end up costing about $50 per person. The Spanish GED in Mexico will help reduce poverty and bring about a much more educated police force, where half of Mexico’s police have less than a six grade education.

I hope to start discussions between people in education and government in Quintana Roo, leading to action by those parties to contact Washington, D.C. and begin the process of bringing the Spanish GED to Mexico.
