Unicine Univision Home Entertainment
Univision Home Entertainment and launch of its DVD label Unicine. Univision Home Entertainment will release content from the Univision Television Networks' extensive Spanish-language movie library to meet the demand for DVD entertainment in the Hispanic community.
Ventura Entertainment's Studio Latino, the leading distributor of Latino home entertainment, will distribute and market the DVDs under the Unicine label. All Unicine titles will be first-time DVD releases for U.S. audiences, and will be available at Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Tower Records and Circuit City, among other locations where DVDs are sold.
Univision Home Entertainment will be based in Los Angeles and led by Univision Television Group President Michael D. Wortsman.

The first ten Unicine titles will be available beginning May 24, 2005, and will include the following action, comedy and drama feature films: "La Diosa del Puerto," "Taquito de Ojo," "Corazón de Tequila," "Secuestro," "Sinaloa," "Compadres a la Mexicana," "Escuadrón de la Muerte," "El Fisgón del Hotel," "Verdugo de Traidores," and "Asalto en Tijuana."
