By PC Magazine - Review Siemens review "The Future of Cell Phones" Siemens unveiled the focus is on the future of the cell phone—one where your phone is front and center in your life, and incorporates music, commerce and even fitness.

TV Phone: I was most taken with the demo of the Phone/TV combination. The device is much lighter than portable media centers and should include either flash or a hard drive, for TiVo-like recording, when it ships. Prototypes include a stand to let it sit up on its own, and even allows for interactive TV, using the cell-network as a back channel.

RFID Phone: Siemens showed a RFID communications cellphone. It interacts with smart cards, posters, advertisements or even magazines. The wireless scanner is built into the cell phone case itself, with a very low range—about 6 inches or 10 centimeters.

Sensor Phone: Siemens showed off a flexible sensor device that uses the phone network to keep you safer, and in touch with your car, home, luggage or family members. The square device includes a wide range of sensors, including motion, accelerometer, temperature, brightness and noise. Built-in microphone w/ loudspeaker.

Fitness Phone: "The Running Entertainer". It's designed to help keep you in shape. The phone connects to a treadmill via Bluetooth. Sensor tracks = Run faster and the music gets faster. Slow down and the music does too.
