Vacation Bargains No Fuel Surcharges
January may be the coldest month of the year, but it often brings bargains on vacations; many people are just getting over the holidays and aren't yet fed up enough with winter to head south. Signature Vacations is cutting its already-reduced January prices by eliminating the $90 per person fuel surcharge if you book by Dec. 21 for travel in January to Mexico, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Jamaica and St. Martin.
Just two examples: A one-week holiday from Toronto to the all-inclusive Bahia Principe in Puerto Plata is now $688 plus $231 in taxes with a departure date of Jan. 9; and one-week holidays leaving Jan. 8 to Las Brisas Huatulco on Mexico's Pacific Coast are now $768 plus $182 in taxes.
